Baja California is on another level, truly. It’s the peninsula that seems to want to break away from the rest of Mexico into the Pacific, and it has a personality of its own: the creativity of Tijuana, the vineyards of the Valle de Guadalupe, the surf breaks of Ensenada and Rosarito, the desert of San Felipe and the Valle de los Gigantes, the giant rocks of La Rumorosa and, at the other end, Los Cabos and La Paz on the Sea of Cortez, the “aquarium of the world”.
